About Me
Dr. Sienmi Du (pronouns she/they) has 20 years of experience in women’s health. Her interest began in the research lab studying biological and sex differences in disease during her master’s and doctoral training. During this period, she became aware of the sex bias in healthcare and research, and her interest transformed into a passion for women’s advocacy in healthcare. After receiving her PhD in Physiological Sciences in 2015, she went on to study medicine at the University of Central Florida in Orlando, where she graduated in 2019. She then pursued residency in obstetrics and gynecology at both UCSF in San Francisco and Tulane University in New Orleans, with the goal of continuing to advocate for women’s health at the clinical level.
One aspect Dr. Du loves about being an obstetrician and gynecologist is the capacity to offer continuity of care to her patients through all stages of their lives. Her goal is to provide compassionate and equitable care to her patients. Dr. Du offers full-scope obstetric and gynecological care, including prenatal care, labor and delivery, postpartum care, contraceptive management, family planning, abnormal uterine bleeding, pelvic pain, and minimally invasive surgery.
Outside of the office and operating room, Dr. Du can be found exploring San Francisco and Bay Area hiking trails with her husband, 8-year-old daughter, and dog, while embracing new experiences in food, art, and sports.
