About Me
Dr. Jan Penvose-Yi, MD is an obstetrician gynecologist in Berkeley, CA and has over 23 years of experience in the medical field. She graduated from MICHIGAN STATE University in 2002. She did her residency at SUNY Upstate Medical Center in Buffalo, New York and graduated from Michigan State College of Human Medicine.
Dr. Penvose-Yi went into medicine with the intent of embracing a humanistic care philosophy where the patient is valued as a whole, and the time is taken to provide thoughtful, meaningful, and thorough healthcare. She enjoys providing healthcare throughout all stages of a women’s healthcare including obstetrics and the full continuum of gynecological care including menopausal management.
Dr. Penvose-Yi says “Despite the crazy hours of the obstetric care part of my profession, I love delivering babies at any time of the day. I especially enjoy getting to know my patients so that the delivery can be a great experience for them.” She enjoys hysteroscopy and minimally invasive surgical procedures.
When she isn’t caring for her patients, Jan spends time with her husband and three children, exercising, exploring the outdoors, and pursuing her passion for greyhound and chihuahua rescue.
